John Midgley Foundation Supports Education in Salima

In a significant boost to education in the Salima district, on Monday British national John Midgley officially handed over a newly constructed library at Nakondwa Primary School.

The project was realized through a collaborative effort with the Nakondwa Community Based Organization (CBO).

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Taona Chikhadwe, Primary School Adviser for Yambe Zone in Salima, expressed profound gratitude to the John Midgley Foundation.

Chikhadwe highlighted that Midgley’s support extends beyond the new library, encompassing various other educational initiatives, including providing bursaries to deserving students in the district.

In an interview with Chisomo Radio Station, John Midgley reaffirmed his commitment to fostering educational development in the country.

He announced his intention to secure resources for the construction of a secondary school within the Nakondwa area.

Wiseman Balakasi, Director of Nakondwa CBO, conveyed immense appreciation for the development, stating that “words only can’t be enough to appreciate” their partners’ contributions.

He concluded by seeking divine guidance for their continued collaboration.

The donation is expected to significantly enhance learning opportunities for students at Nakondwa Primary School, providing them with improved access to educational resources.
