Malawi Congress Party (MCP) parliamentary aspirant Donext Tchuwa has reaffirmed his commitment to bringing meaningful development to the people of Nkhata Bay Mpamba Constituency if elected during the upcoming polls on 16 September 2025.
In an interview on Thursday, Tchuwa said his primary focus would be to complete ongoing projects and introduce new initiatives that will uplift the lives of his constituents, particularly in the areas of health, education, infrastructure, and youth empowerment.
“I would like to thank the people of Nkhata Bay Mpamba for trusting me to represent them in Parliament under the MCP ticket. My motivation to contest for the third time—after standing on a People’s Party ticket in 2014 and as an independent in 2019, comes from my strong belief that there’s still more I can do to develop this constituency,” Tchuwa said.
He outlined several key priorities, including the installation of electricity, upgrading of roads, construction of school blocks, and drilling of boreholes. He emphasized that these initiatives align with President Lazarus Chakwera’s development vision aimed at improving livelihoods across the country.
Tchuwa also vowed to address challenges in the education sector by improving infrastructure and teachers’ housing, particularly at Mpamba, Chitala, and Chananga Primary Schools.
“My goal is to ensure children in Nkhata Bay Mpamba learn in a conducive environment. Education is the foundation of every successful society,” he added.
He further urged Malawians to vote for President Chakwera, describing him as a leader who has delivered on his promises and transformed the nation through major infrastructure projects.
“President Chakwera deserves a second term. He has done more than many expected and continues to work tirelessly to bring change. Let’s give him the mandate to finish what he started,” said Tchuwa.
The 2025 elections are expected to be highly competitive as aspirants, including Tchuwa, seek to convince voters of their vision and readiness to serve.
